The Aquarium of the Pacific features more than 12,000 ocean animals representing nearly 500 species. Its focus is the Pacific Ocean, exploring the waters of the Tropical, Southern California, and Northern Pacific. There are 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits, as well as an ocean science and animal care center. Highlights include a shark lagoon, sea lion sanctuary, and Blue Cavern.

Are face masks required?
All guests ages two and over are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times.
Guests may temporarily remove their masks when eating while sitting six feet from others outside of their household. All masks must be at least two layers, not have vents or valves, and scarfs, bandanas, and gaiters are not allowed. Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine must still wear a mask and follow all safety protocols. Those who do not follow this policy will be asked to leave.
What safety measures do you have in place?
All visitors will have their temperature checked before entry. Those with a temperature of 100.4F and above and those in their party will not be allowed to enter.
The maximum party size is six to enter and travel within the Aquarium. All family units will be required to maintain a minimum distance of six feet at all times from staff and other visitors. (Adults will be responsible for ensuring their children follow this rule.)
Do you have wheelchairs, what’s the cost to rent one?
Wheelchairs are complimentary and can be checked out at the information desk on a first come, first serve basis.
Do you have strollers?
The Aquarium offers baby “backpacks”, which can be borrowed free of charge at our information desk. We do not offer strollers at this time. While we do not have strollers for use, you are always welcome to bring your own. Also, on very busy days we have stroller parking areas throughout the Aquarium for your convenience.
Do you have locker facilities available?
Unfortunately, we do not have any lockers available at this time.
Do you have a restaurant at your facility?
In partnership with the Aquarium of the Pacific, PREMIER serves environmentally friendly and sustainable seafood at our main dining room, Café Scuba. Café Scuba is a relaxed atmosphere overlooking our Seal and Sea Lion exhibit and is the perfect place to grab a meal or a quick snack.
Do you allow re-entry into the Aquarium?
Re-entry is currently not allowed.
Does my child under 3 need an admission ticket?
There is no charge for children under the age of 3 to visit the Aquarium.
What is the cost of parking?
Parking is available at an adjacent parking structure (99 Aquarium Way) for a fee. The cost is currently $8, and payment is accepted by cash or checks only.
